Polydioxanone suture is the material of choice in surgical procedures where a combination of an absorbable suture and extended wound support (up to six weeks) is required for wound closure, soft tissue approximation and/or ligation. PDSynth sutures provide wound support upto 42 days and gets absorbed by hydrolysis (within 180 – 210 days of implantation).
