He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Leland Stanford Junior University. He has over 28 years of global management consulting experience and has served as a Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company.

Anish Bafna is the CEO & MD of Healthium Medtech. He has a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from IMDR, Pune. Coming with significant experience in the healthcare industry, he previously worked with Baxter Healthcare (Asia) Pte Ltd as General Manager, Emerging Asia. At Healthium, he manages the overall operations and resources.

Kankana Barua serves as the Director, Group Chief Human Resources Officer & Head - IT of Healthium Medtech, prior to which she was the Chief People Officer at Tally Solutions Private Limited. She is an Associate Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. She also holds degrees in Law and Human Resource Management.

He has significant experience in the pharmaceutical and medical devices industries and has worked with KCI Medical Asia Pte. Limited, Stryker Corporation and MERCK.

Steven Dyson holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Oxford University and a doctorate from Cambridge University. He has over 21 years of experience in private equity investment advisory. He is currently a partner and co-head of the healthcare team at Apax Partners LLP.

Sudarshan Jain holds a Bachelor’s degree in Science, specialising in Physics from Delhi University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. He has 40 years of experience in the healthcare industry and education sector. He has previously worked at Abbott Healthcare Private Limited, Boots Pharmaceuticals Limited, Ethnor Limited and Piramal Healthcare and is presently the Secretary General of the Indian Pharmaceutical Alliance.

Marco Bonaiti holds a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s of Science degree from Politecnico di Milano and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Harvard University. He has over 10 years of experience in management consulting and private equity investment advisory. He is currently a Principal in the Apax Partners LLP healthcare team. Prior to joining Apax Partners LLP, Marco worked as a Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company in their Milan office.

Mohammed Azeez holds a Bachelor’s degree in Science from Bangalore University and a Master’s degree in Science, specialising in Microbiology from Bangalore University. Prior to joining Healthium, he worked with United Medical Industries Co. Limited as a microbiologist, quality control supervisor and a quality assurance manager. He oversees all daily operations and sets strategies for overall production planning for both export and domestic business.

Sudeep Dhariwal is the Group Chief Financial Officer of Healthium Medtech, with over 24 years of extensive experience in strategic, operational and financial roles across multiple renowned global MNCs, including Cepheid-Danaher where he was the Vice President - Finance for APAC, Perfetti Van Melle, Reckitt Benckiser, Nokia, Mars and Medtronic. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant, Certified Treasury Manager and Commerce graduate from Delhi University.

Global Business Unit Head - Advanced Surgicals & Wound Care

Prashant Krishnan brings more than 27 years of experience and has an excellent track record of leading businesses across India, South Asia and the US in various leadership positions across Surgery, Cardiology and Orthopaedics medical devices. Previously, Prashant has been associated with companies such as Medtronic, Johnson & Johnson, as well as Godrej & Boyce, delivering significant transformations for the businesses that he has led. His key role in working with Niti Aayog & USIBC for the Ventilator Project during the COVID-19 pandemic has received global recognition. He is an alumni of the Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneshwar and The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Head - Arthroscopy

Anoop Penupolu leads the Arthroscopy division of Healthium Medtech, which creates minimally invasive arthroscopic products. He has been instrumental in driving R&D and creating the Sironix portfolio of implants, instruments and capital equipment with a focus on innovative product designs that are easy-to-use for doctors, and in creating better patient outcomes. Anoop joined Healthium in 2015, handling new products and the consumex portfolio. In his earlier assignments, he has worked in the FMCG sector and the alco-bev industry.

Phani Gujjari

Chief Operating Officer (QNPL) & Group Operations Excellence Head

Phani Gujjari is the Chief Operating Officer of Quality Needles & Group Operations Excellence Head, with over 25 years of experience in manufacturing excellence and plant operations. He has previously held leadership roles at Crompton Greaves, Flowserve, Continental Automotive Systems, Weir Power & Industrial, GKN Driveline, Varroc and LM Wind Power (A GE Renewable Energy Business). He has a Mechanical Engineering degree from IIT-Varanasi, an MS from the University of Toledo and an MBA from D'Amore-McKim School of Business, Boston.

Anand Venkat joined Healthium in 2021, with the acquisition of CareNow Medical. As the Chief Innovation Officer, Anand develops and drives new product strategies and OEM efforts. Anand has over 20 years of experience in healthcare, both in the US and India. With a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Anand has worked for Stryker Endoscopy in the US for 10 years, prior to founding CareNow Medical in India. He is passionate about developing innovative solutions for patient care in pre-op, post-op and intra-op setups.

Dr. Ashok Moharana joined Healthium in 2019 to provide scientific leadership and primarily focus on creating a compliant, scientifically driven organisation. He shouldered responsibilities on clinical evidence generation, engaging and partnering with KOLs and driving innovations in the medtech field by co-creating and developing new products that enhance user-experience for surgeons and result in better patient outcomes. A dynamic and forward-looking professional with over 22 years of experience in the fields of clinical/medical, regulatory affairs, patient safety and change management, Dr. Ashok has been instrumental in providing strategic and transformational guidance to the Life-sciences Businesses in India and the Asia-Pacific region. He has a proven record of successfully driving key cross-functional initiatives towards new product research and product life-cycle management as well as building high performing, proactive and agile teams across different organisations, both at national and international level. Prior to joining Healthium, Dr. Ashok has had a significant tenure with Baxter International Inc., Novo Nordisk, Ranbaxy Pharmaceuticals, and Dr. Reddy’s Group both in India and the Asia Pacific.

Joining Healthium in 2018, Raajjhesh Kulkarni brings with him over 25 years of diverse experience in Domestic and International markets, across Manufacturing, Product Development, Quality and Regulatory Affairs. He has worked with companies such as Johnson & Johnson Pvt. Ltd., Mentor WW LLC, and Baxter India Pvt. Ltd. His focused efforts towards reliable product quality and service to the customer, meeting new customer needs and ensuring audit-ready sites take Healthium to the next level.

Head - Strategy and M&A

Rajiv is the Head of Strategy and M&A at Healthium Medtech. With over 15 years of experience in Corporate Strategy and M&A, Investment Banking and Private Equity, Rajiv has held progressive leadership roles in leading pharma companies such as Dr. Reddy's Laboratories and Viyash Life Sciences. Previously, he worked for PE fund Helix Investments and ICICI Securities. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and received his Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow.

Pallavi Karkera is the Company Secretary & Compliance Officer at Healthium Medtech. Prior to joining Healthium, she was Company Secretary for Toyota Financial Services India Limited, Ocwen Financial Solutions Private Limited and Ozone Propex Private Limited. She is an Associate Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Mangalore University, a Master’s degree in Commerce from Mangalore University and a Master’s degree in Business Law from the National Law School of India, Bangalore University.
