Trulon

Monofilament Polyamide (Nylon) Sterile Non-Absorbable Surgical Suture

Features of Trulon

  • Low tissue reactivity
  • High tensile strength
  • Excellent elasticity and handling
  • Smooth texture for minimal tissue trauma

This suture is indicated for skin closure, and in surgical procedures where a combination of a non-absorbable suture and long term wound support (except where permanent retention of tensile strength is required) is required for soft tissue approximation and/or ligation. It elicits a minimal initial inflammatory reaction in tissue which is followed by gradual encapsulation of suture by fibrous connective tissue. While this suture is not absorbed, progressive hydrolysis of suture in vivo may result in gradual loss of tensile strength over a period of time.

  • Cuticular and subcuticular closure
  • Orthopedic surgery
  • Ophthalmic surgery
  • General surgery
  • Microsurgery
  • Monofilament polyamide
